You were never meant to do life alone just because you’re a Manifestor.

There is a difference between genuinely loving your independence... and learning that it's far safer to never need anybody.

When you've had years of feeling like you don’t easily fit in anywhere, of being disappointed by people in your life, of working to keep your circle so small because it's sasfer that way....

You end up deciding that you’re better off on your own.

I Thought It Was Just Me

A 3-part audio course for Manifestors exploring the line between our natural independence and the protective isolation patterns that we build after years of struggling to find where (and with who) we actually belong.

There is a very familiar story about Manifestors.

We're independent. We don't need other people. We walk life following our own path. We're the lone wolves.

And yes, there is truth in our independence.

But I think we have sometimes confused Manifestor independence with Manifestor isolation.

Because what happens when you've spent years feeling like you, sure, you're independent....but you also know that you don't fit in anywhere?

When you've repeatedly tried to find your people, only to leave feeling like the price of belonging was self abandonment? Because you could feel them cringeing from your energy. And no matter how small you tried to make yourself to keep them liking you, somehow you ended up standing just outside the circle again.

When people have taken too much from you, expected too much access to you, tried to control you, or simply made the relationship feel like it was so much more work than it was worth?

Eventually, withdrawing can feel easier. Depending on yourself can feel safer.

A very small circle (or no circle at all) can feel like the better option, rather than risking another experience that confirms what you've spent a lifetime believing about people.....that you just can't trust anybody.

Eventually, “I like being alone” can become “I'm better off alone.”

You stop expecting people to understand you. You stop looking for new relationships. You stop letting people very far in. You lose faith in people.

And perhaps, to make that wound not sting so much, you started telling yourself that this is simply what it means to be an independent Manifestor.

But what if some of it is your natural independence...

And some of it is what happened after belonging hurt you too many times?

I Thought It Was Just Me is an invitation to explore that distinction.

Not so you can become more social or so you can build a bigger circle.

But so you can understand why you've pulled away, what you actually need from relationships, and whether there might be a version of belonging that doesn't ask you to become less of yourself in order to experience it.

You don't need more people.
You need relationships that don't hurt you.

This isn't a course about making friends or giving up your independence.

It's about recognising the difference between healthy independence and protective isolation.

Healthy independence says:

I love my own company. I need space. I don't need constant contact or a huge circle of people around me.

Protective isolation says:

People are exhausting. Nobody really gets me anyway. Every time I let someone close, I regret it. It's easier if I just do everything myself.

It's the difference between choosing solitude because it genuinely nourishes you vsretreating from relationships because you've lost faith that people can meet you safely.

It's the difference between being surrounded by people vs actually feeling wanted by them.

It's the difference between having people who love you vs having people around you that give you safety to drop your guard and feel that there is a place for you exactly as you are.

You might genuinely enjoy being alone and have become accustomed to protecting yourself from people.

You might have a tiny circle because that's what truly feels right for you and have people you no longer let close enough to disappoint you again.

You might tell yourself you don't need community while also wondering why you have never really found somewhere you feel like you fit in.

Because the goal isn't to convince yourself that you should need more people.

The goal is to untangle the parts of your independence that are genuinely you from the parts that developed because being alone eventually felt safer than continuing to hope you'd find somewhere you belonged.

Inside the audio course

I Thought It Was Just Me is made up of three audio teachings that take you through what you're experiencing, why it's happening, and what you can begin doing about it.

AUDIO 1: Maybe It's Not Just You

We begin with what you're experiencing.

The tiny social circles that just keep getting smaller, or the solitude you genuinely enjoy. The loneliness that can somehow exist alongside it and the chest-tightening feeling that other people seem to find friendship and community so easily. And maybe that means that there is something about you that makes relationships so difficult.

AUDIO 2: Why We Pull Away

Then we look at why it's happening.

What happens after enough experiences of feeling unwanted, being left out, having people take more than they give, being expected to make yourself easier for other people, or repeatedly discovering that the relationship you thought was safe wasn't?

We'll explore how a Manifestor can unintentionally move from independence into self-protection, where you have stopped letting people in at all, and why “I don't need anyone” can begin to feel much safer than admitting that you do.

AUDIO 3: What Belonging Can Look Like

Finally, we explore what you can do about it to come back to belonging.

We'll explore what belonging can really look like for a Manifestor: relationships where you don't have to constantly explain yourself, connections that don't ask you to make yourself easier to handle or demand that you give people more access than feels good.
You don't want to stay somewhere that you feel barely tolerated, making you disappear altogether in order to feel safe.

You want to belong without needing to self abandon.

Belonging is about having relationships where you don't need to shut down, where you don't feel like the odd one out, where you you aren't waiting to be rejected, and where being yourself doesn't threaten the whole connection.

You'll also receive...

  • 9 Reflection Prompts

Three prompts to accompany each audio, helping you look at your own patterns with independence, withdrawal, relationships and belonging.

These aren't pages and pages of journaling homework. They're targeted questions designed to help you notice where this experience has been showing up in your own life.

  • The Relationship Map

A simple visual exercise for looking at the relationships already around you. You'll map the people in your life and begin noticing something we often overlook: how you actually feel around each of them?

Do you feel wanted? Safe? Like you can be yourself without managing their reaction to you?

Do you leave interactions feeling connected, or relieved to be alone again?

Do you trust them enough to let them close?

Or do you find yourself guarded, drained, tolerated, on the outside, or waiting for the moment something changes?

The peoplein your life should be ones you don't have to protect yourself from.

This is for you if...

You genuinely love your independence, but sometimes wonder whether you've taken it so far that now nobody really gets close.

You've spent years believing you're simply someone who doesn't need many people, but lately you've started feeling like that's not the whole story.

You genuinely love being alone, yet there are moments when that aloneness feels more lonely than peaceful.

You've watched other people find friendship groups, community or a sense of belonging and asked yourself why it has always seemed harder for you.

You've been disappointed by people enough times that you no longer expect very much from them, or you've found yourself saying, “I don't need anyone anyway,” while a small part of you knows that isn't completely true.

You have a very small circle (or almost no circle at all) because letting people close often feels like more painful than it's worth.

You've found yourself thinking, “I don't fit anywhere,” “I don't know how to let people in,” “I'm better off on my own,” or even “Maybe there is just something wrong with me. I give up.”

You want connection, but not relationships where you have to constantly explain your need for space, or make yourself smaller and easier to be around. You don't want to have to stay available when you need to retreat, tor to olerate people overstepping your boundaries. You aren't willing to give up your freedom in order to keep a relationship alive.

This probably isn't for you if...

You're looking for a step-by-step system for making friends, dating or building a bigger social circle.

You want someone to tell you that Manifestors should become more social, more available or less independent.

Or you're looking for a large workbook, intensive healing program or another thing you need to work hard at.

This is intentionally small.

It's something to listen to, sit with, notice how this might be moving inside your own world, and allow changes to the way you understand your relationship with other people.

This audio course exists because of one conversation.

A few weeks ago, I shared a post about something I'd been noticing amongst Manifestors: how easily our independence can become tangled up with the hurtful experiences we've had with other people.

I talked about what happens when years of being disappointed by people, struggling to find relationships where we can actually be ourselves, or simply finding people exhausting slowly leads us to withdraw and to lose faith that we'll ever really find our people.

And Manifestors responded.

A lot of Manifestors responded.

What struck me wasn't simply that people related to it. As a Manifestor myself, I relate to it. I've lived it too. No, what struck me was the depth of the recognition, and how many Manifestors had spent much of their lives assuming this was something wrong with them.

I thought something was wrong with me.

I thought I was the only one.

I have never been able to put how I feel, or what I need regarding relationships in words.

My circle is so small now. Sometimes I shame myself, but then I remember that most people don’t light me up

it's an immense dilemma to belong yet stay independent

I don’t know anymore, i just get tired of people’s BS, i prefer to be alone most of the time.

I am losing faith in humanity.

People take advantage of my generosity and kindness too often.

There was this enormous, largely unspoken wound sitting underneath the Manifestor independence narrative:

We need connection too. We just don't want connection that costs us ourselves.

So I didn't want to turn this into a huge course or overcomplicate it. I wanted to make something intimate and simple that could take that conversation to the deep place it really needs to exist at.

That's what I Thought It Was Just Me became.

"My experience with Holly has been truly life changing. It has shifted my perspective so much, and I now understand myself more than I have before!! And to me, more self love and acceptance is invaluable!"

"This was worth every dollar (and more). It was a real deep dive into who I am and how I work which I think HAS to be done by someone else because when you try and look at yourself there's all this mind trash in the way. Holly explained things in a really supportive, clear and engaging way which was especially helpful for me being very new to this sort of work. Thank you so much, Holly!"

"Thank you Holly, from the bottom of my heart, for everything you have done for me. Working with you has been the biggest joy and light and I feel so privileged and abundant that I still get to work with you for months to come. And I'm sure even beyond that. Because when you work with Holly, something truly incredible shifts deeply within you and you just can't let that damn powerhouse woman out of your life "

If you need help deciding...

A few things I'd love you to know about this audio course experience.

What I hope you leave with

Not a bigger social circle, and not a list of people you suddenly need to reconnect with.

And definitely not the idea that your independence is something that needs fixing.

I want you to understand why you relate to people the way you do.

I want you to be able to recognise when solitude is truly nourishing for you and when withdrawal is protecting you from a wound that still burns.

I want you to become more discerning about who feels safe, where you feel genuinely wanted, and where you are spending energy trying to belong somewhere that only tolerates you.

And perhaps most importantly, I want you to begin imagining a version of belonging that doesn't require you to abandon yourself in order to experience it.

"Being a manifestor feels quite alone. I don’t know a single person who is one and am surrounded by generators, manifesting generators and projectors alone. I love that The Manifestor Community makes me realize there are more people like me and it makes me feel very connected to this cool person on the other side of the globe, who just gets me, without even knowing me personally."

"I so appreciate the hard hitting but gentle truths that this community delivers! Listening to not only the podcast, but soaking in the messages shared on Instagram, and the readings....feels like a coming home. A realization that I am capable of changing the world, through my Manifestor way of being. I have felt more encouraged, supported, and motivated to live into my true Manifestor self without feeling shame or wanting to hide."

"Holly holds space to emotionally dig deep to heal issues in such a gentle and nurturing way as well as being a confident coach who is very insightful, empathetic and not afraid to ask the questions that will lead the way.

Working with Holly has changed my life. And that’s not an exaggeration, it’s just the truth."

MEET HOLLY

4/6 SPLENIC MANIFESTOR + FOUNDER OF THE MANIFESTOR COMMUNITY

I'm Holly Herbig.

A 4/6 Splenic Manifestor, founder of The Manifestor Community, and someone who has spent the last six years immersed in one thing:

Helping Manifestors understand themselves more deeply.

In 2020, I followed a Creative Urge that made very little sense at the time:

"Speak to Manifestors. Only Manifestors."

I left behind a broader coaching business and built The Manifestor Community around that single decision.

Since then, I've had the privilege of working with thousands of Manifestors from all over the world. Reading charts, teaching Human Design, listening to their stories, and watching the same experiences and patterns emerge again and again.

And one of the things I've become most interested in is the story we tell about Manifestor independence.

Because yes, we are incredibly independent people. I see that in myself and in the Manifestors I work with every day.

But I've also seen how easily that independence can become tangled up with a deeper wound.

Years of feeling different and of struggling to find where you fit. So many experiences of being disappointed by people and feeling like relationships require too much from you. All the hurt that ends up with us making our circles smaller and smaller because being alone genuinely feels easier.

Until eventually, it can become difficult to know how much of your solitude is simply who you are as a Manifestor... and how much of it developed because you stopped believing there were people and places where you could truly belong.

I Thought It Was Just Me came from opening up that conversation and discovering just how many Manifestors were quietly living it too.

This audio course is my way of taking that conversation deeper, so we can honour the independence that is genuinely ours without automatically accepting isolation as the price we have to pay for it.

Maybe it was never just you.

Maybe there was never anything wrong with you for finding relationships harder than other people seemed to.

Maybe you really do need more solitude, space and independence than most...and maybe there is also a part of you that got tired of being disappointed, tired of trying to fit in, tired of letting people in only to wish you hadn't, and decided it was safer not to need anyone at all.

You are allowed to be independent and still want to be deeply known.
You are allowed to need enormous amounts of space and still want people beside you.
You are allowed to have a small circle and want that circle to feel safe.

And you are allowed to question whether some of the independence you've worn so proudly was never independence at all.

Maybe it was protection.

Belonging doesn't have to mean giving yourself away.

It might simply mean finally discovering the relationships where you don't have to.
